Sharon Komarow is a senior landscape architect and associate with over fifteen years of experience in public, institutional design, and environmental planning. She has been with KMDG for over twelve years. Her educational background and previous work in environmental science influence her work as a landscape architect. At KMDG, she is lead technical designer responsible for developing construction documents and detail standards and working creatively within the schematic and design development phases. She has extensive public design and project management experience and has been the project manager for many of our park, campus, and educational projects, including Hoyt Sullivan Playground in Somerville, MIT Cogeneration Plant, Central Square, New England College Performing Arts Center, and Summer Star Wildlife Sanctuary, among many others. While at Harvard University, she received a Community Service Fellowship to help the Town of Barnstable prepare a successful grant to fund park renovations and a Presidential Instructional Technology Fellowship to develop a reference website on the vegetation of the urban environment.
