KMDG Heads to Minneapolis for ASLA 

Mark Klopfer and Jennifer Ng are headed to the annual ASLA conference October 27 - 30  to share their experiences and knowledge with colleagues. Mark will join peers on a panel exploring changing firm culture, while Jennifer will join peers to talk about the impacts of parenthood on practice.  

KMDG has spent years building an intentional firm culture, exploring and responding to the impacts of current events and generational changes on the workforce. This commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment has been instrumental in their ability to maintain a motivated and cohesive team that consistently thrives in their work and lives. Session 1: Lead, Follow, Adapt? Exploring Different Approaches to Changing Firm Culture

Mark joins panelists Ilse Frank from Studio Balcones and Erin Murphy from CVG to delve into talent retention, recruitment, generational differences, leadership transition, remote work, and DEI considerations and the effects of each on firm culture. 

Session 2: Pregnancy, Parenting, and Practice—Let's Talk About It

Date & Time: Sunday, October 29th at 3:45 PM

Jennifer joins panelists Anna Cawrse from Sasaki and Julie Gawendo from re:public to talk about the realities of balancing caregiving and practice. This session will help firm leaders with strategies that contribute to “family supportive” practices and help caregivers better communicate their needs and build negotiation skills.
