Landscape plays a vital role in urban design, from the comprehensive scale of the city to the intimate experience of pedestrians. Our urban design and planning work engages both scales—from collaborating in the design of new cities in Asia, Central America, and the Middle East to developing design guidelines nearby in Cambridge and Boston as well as further afield in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Aqaba.

Our approach connects large-scale regional planning with detailed design of parks and linear landscapes that serve as both infrastructure and "green fingers" of parkland within new urban developments. This multi-scale thinking ensures cohesive, sustainable urban environments that serve communities at every level.
